Oboist, Contractor, earned her Masters Degree in Oboe Performance from the University of Michigan where she studied privately with Arno Mariotti. Wendy has also studied with Dr. Nancy Ambrose King, University of Michigan, and Donald Baker, principal oboist of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Oboe Performance at Western Michigan University where she studied with Dr. Robert Humiston. She has performed with the Kalamazoo Bach Festival Orchestra, Michigan Bach Collegium, Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra, South Bend, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and West Shore Symphony Orchestras.
Wendy has won numerous Concerto and
Bach Festival Competitions.
In January, 2007 she performed as soloist accompanied by the Portage Northern Wind Ensemble at the Michigan Music Conference at DeVos Hall in Grand Rapids, Michigan
