| Dr. Stephen Jones, trumpet In addition to performing and recording with the Western Brass Quintet and playing as "extra trumpet" with several major symphonies, he has held positions with the Wichita Brass Quintet, Wichita Symphony, and Kalamazoo Symphony. He has appeared as soloist with the American Wind Symphony, Kalamazoo Symphony, and Santa Fe Chamber Symphony. Performances abroad include concerts in Sweden, Switzerland, Germany, The Netherlands, Great Britain, Russia, Korea, and People's Republic of China and his playing can be heard on the CRI, CRS, ASUC, MARK, CAPSTONE, DUBOIS, and ALAM recording labels. Dr. Jones has twice been elected president of the International Trumpet Guild, three times its secretary, and he has served on the ITG Board of Directors. He has been a frequent contributor to the International Trumpet Guild Journal. He received degrees from Ohio State University, Wichita State Unversity, and the University of Michgan. |

| Luke Cook, cello Luke is an instructor of cello at the Crescendo Academy of Music in Kalamazoo and at the Citadel Dance & Music Program in Benton Harbor where he maintains a large private studio. He also serves as an adjunct instructor of cello at Lake Michigan College. Luke's students are members of the Kalamazoo Junior Symphony, the Lake Michigan Youth Orchestra, and the Battle Creek Youth Orchestra. His students consistently receive top scores in state solo and ensemble festivals and many have participated in the Michigan All-State honors orchestra along with the Michigan Youth Arts Festival. Luke serves as Artist in Residence with the St. Joseph Public Schools Orchestra Program, performs with Arioso and substitutes with the area symphony orchestras. Luke has performed in Master Classes for Bion Tsang, Felix Wang, Jeffery Solow, Christopher von Bayer, and Anthony Arnone. He has been coached in chamber music by Lori Sims, the Miami Quartet, the Cavani Quartet, and members of the Merling Trio. Luke Cook received his BM and BA from Western Michigan University in music and sociology respectively where he studied cello with Bruce Uchimura. In his free time Luke enjoys working as an associate of Kevin Mazer,CFP and the Commonwealth Financial Network. Luke resides in Kalamazoo with his wife Carrie, a music teacher in the Kalamazoo Public Schools and his baby daughter Eleanor. |

| Wendy Mazer, oboe and manager Earned her Masters Degree in Oboe Performance from the University of Michigan where she studied privately with Arno Mariotti. Wendy has studied with Dr. Nancy Ambrose King, University of Michigan, and Donald Baker, principal oboist of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Oboe Performance at Western Michigan University where she studied with Dr. Robert Humiston. She has performed with the Kalamazoo Bach Festival Orchestra, Michigan Bach Collegium, Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra, South Bend, Kalamazoo, Battle Creek and West Shore Symphony Orchestras. She has also performed with the Kalamazoo Community Orchestra, Kalamazoo Concert Band and Kalamazoo Civic Theatre. Wendy has played in performances with The 5th Dimension, Hal Linden, Toni Tenille, Tony Bennett, Rita Moreno and Doug LaBrecque. She has won numerous Solo Concerto and Bach Festival Competitions and has performed under H. Robert Reynolds, Carl St. Clair, Gustav Meier and William Revelli. In January, 2007 she performed as soloist accompanied by the Portage Northern Wind Ensemble under the Direction of David Papenhagen at the Michigan Music Conference at DeVos Hall in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The work performed was transcribed by Ms. Mazer for the PNHS Wind Ensemble. |
